7-Year Old Girl Rescues Cat Left To Die In Trash

This abandoned cat was left to die. But this 7 year old had something else in mind.

I thought this story was just incredible.  When you see the photos of this cat when she was rescued, the injuries sustained are mind boggling.  How did this cat above all odds survive?  In my opinion, I think the cat sensed love and safety from the little girl and her Family.  This cat knew the Family was trying to help ease her pain, nourish her with food and help heal her injuries.  I love stories and photos like this because they illustrate humanity  and how much we really don’t know regarding feline intelligence.  I suspect there’s much more than meets the eye.

The Origin of November

A new November has arrived, and whether it means pulling out your winter coat, adding another blanket to your bed, or searching for the perfect pumpkin pie recipe, it’s time to begin preparation for the winter months. The etymology of our eleventh month November, however, speaks little to its role in the course of the year. November follows the same pattern as the months before it, September and October, which take their names from their original numerical position in the calendar year. November 15, 2016: The Dark Matter Cast Dinner – Spanish Style!

Josephmallozzi's Weblog

Tonight is the Dark Matter season 3 cast dinner.  In preparation, I just had supper.  I realize that might seem a little counter-intuitive, but our restaurant reservations are for 8:00 p.m. which means that, by the time everyone arrives and settles in, the kitchen won’t be getting our orders until 8:30 p.m., which means that we won’t actually get our food until well after 9:00 p.m.  Don’t get me wrong.  I’m a team player.  Except when it comes to meals.  Experience has taught me to always eat before dinner parties as well because more often than not, and I’m sorry, but most hosts and hostesses never have their shit together and keep me waiting long beyond my point of no return (A singular exception to this rule is former Stargate EP Robert Cooper who, when we he says dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., SERVES DINNER AT GODDAMN 6:30 p.m.!)…
